Alisha Todd has been very fortunate to be involved in many aspects of the entertainment industry.
Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, Alisha was interested in pursuing her career in entertainment from a very young age, having done modeling - appearing in Time, Newsweek, and Miller’s Horse & Pony. She acted in as much commercial work and theatre as she was able during school. During her years in high school, she was fortunate enough to have had the honor of performing with the traveling show choir, Soundsation, a venture that earned her performances at Walt Disney World & at Carnegie Hall in New York. It was at this time that she began performing with theatres in the South Florida area.
She spent her summers studying Shakespearean acting in the cooperative program offered by Southern Utah University and the Utah Shakespearean Festival, working closely with members of the cast and production team involved in the festival. She then attended the BFA Musical Theatre program at CU Boulder and then transferred to University of South Florida where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Performance. While attending USF, she received the distinct honor of attending the BRIT Program, a cooperative workshop program and show co-produced with prodigious members of the National Theatre of London. She was also accepted to the intensive Broadway Theatre Project 2004 where she had the tremendous opportunity to workshop with Austin Pendelton, Mary Walkley, Anne Reinking and Debra McWaters.
She began working in the Greater Tampa Bay area where she appeared in many productions. Some of her favorite roles include Juliet in Romeo& Juliet (Alley Cat Players), Oolaranna in King Island Christmas (American Stage), Robin Austin in Under the Yum Yum Tree (Early Bird Dinner Theatre), Kat in Inner Circle (Stageworks) and the Florida Premiere of Eleanor Rigby is Waiting (Gypsy Productions).
She currently resides and works in Florida. She was a full time cast member at Laffing Matterz and has appeared on several of Florida’s stages including Madeline’s Christmas at Actor’s Playhouse, Big! The Musical at Mosaic Theatre, Wheels at the Coconut Grove Playhouse and The Andrews Brothers at Rising Action Theatre. She avidly works in the commercial and television markets having appeared in ads for Dolly Duz, RJ Gators, Healthy Infusions Hair Straightener by Wahl, Garden of Eden Botanical Gardens,and SitterCity.com.
